About Me

Hi, my name is Emaline Frey and I'm a junior in UX Design at Purdue University minoring in Psychology and Organizational Leadership.

I'm an avid crafter and sewer who enjoys reading Brandon Sanderson and listening to dad rock in my free time.

My decision to study User Experience stems from an interest in the way people connect with others and the world around them, and a desire to study and improve the value of these connections. In the future I hope to use this passion to construct systems and structures that will improve people's daily experiences.

Campus Involvement

Alpha Theta Delta Design Fraternity - Secretary

Alpha Theta Delta is Purdue's first multi-disciplinary design fraternity. As part of the founding class and exec board, I've had the opportunity to practice my leadership and organizational skills organizing weekly events for members, helping to run a campus-wide design-a-thon, and making decisions for the future of the fraternity.

Sewing Club

I joined the Purdue Sewing and Design Club during it's second semester on campus and now hold the treasurer position on the board. I've had a lot of fun getting more involved in the crafting community, and helping people learn the basics of how to sew from patterns, to pinning, to sewing machines. I think that sewing is a really important and fun skill and it's been satisfying being able to share that skill with others.
